For one week, 11 children from the neighbourhood of Putz (CH) have been working with the video camera. In and around the former schoolhouse of Putz, the story “Der Spuk von Putz – Die Geisterschule” (The Haunting of Putz – The Ghost School) about the brother and sister Laura and Timi gradually emerged from wild panning shots.

Their father wants to buy the old castle ruins, but it is said to be haunted. The children set off on their own to the ruins and in fact they lie in wait for a gang of teenage ghosts. They have already played tricks on the teacher in 1869 – the year the former schoolhouse in Putz was founded. Timi is careless, is discovered by the ghosts and is taken away by them. In desperation, Laura wakes her friends from their nap and together they set out to find Timi. Laura had heard a rumbling coming from the old schoolhouse and after an eerie walk through the cellar maze, they find the ghosts in a treasure chest. The children challenge the ghosts to a competition in three disciplines: Hullahupp, sack race and chocolate eating contest…

Together with Valentina Vuksic, Jan-Kees ‘Herr Keks’ van Kampen & Pascal ‘Kalle’ Dinser. Follow this link to the projectwebsite.
